8.6% Increase In Central Alberta Home Prices In Comparison To March 2016

→ This past March single family homes in Red Deer had 76 sales and 204 new listings. The same month in 2016 had 71 sales with 272 new listings.
** This is good news as it shows we are heading towards a more balanced market. The average sale price in the month of March was $339,336 with 77 days on market compared to March 2016 which was $334,859 in 84 days.
** This is a positive trend moving forward as days on market are decreasing and sale prices are increasing.
→ Similarly Sylvan Lake saw 35 sales in the month of March with 58 new listings and March 2016 had 24 sales and 63 new listings.
** 2017 showed 121 days on market for a sale compared to the same time last year with 112 days on market however the 2017 average sale price was $352,841 compared to 2016 with $322,817 – that’s a 8.6% increase in sale price.
** A very similar trend is evident throughout Central Alberta with 242 Single-family homes sold and 650 new listings for the month.
