What happened in December?

Again this month we are seeing are seeing a mixed bag of results in Central Alberta as far as Single Family Detached Homes are concerned, the listing Inventory decreased in Red Deer -4 %, Blackfalds -36.7%  and Innisfail -3.51% have all had a decrease  compared to December of 2018, Sylvan Lake and Lacombe have both had increases 5.94% and 23.94  Days on Market has decreased in Red Deer, Blackfalds, while Sylvan Lake Innisfail and Lacombe have all enjoyed a decrease in days on market.

 In Red Deer there has been an increase in sales of an astounding 45.45 %, Lacombe with 42.86% and Innisfail with an Increase from 1 sale to 6 for 500%....... Sylvan lake had a decline of 46 % Blackfalds 27.27%

Again this month we are seeing are seeing a mixed bag of results in Central Alberta as far as Single Family Detached Homes are concerned, the listing Inventory in Red Deer -4.61%, Blackfalds -31.9%  and Innisfail -5.17% have all had a decrease  compared to November of 2018, Sylvan Lake remains the same and Lacombe has had an increase 26.44%  Days on Market has decreased in Red Deer, Sylvan lake and Lacombe , while Innisfail and Blackfalds have both had an increase in days on market

 In Red Deer there has been an increase in sales of 18.52% and Innisfail with an Increase of 25%  while Sylvan lake had a decline of 38.46 % Blackfalds 33.33% Lacombe 25%

November has followed suit with last month, the listing to sale

What happened in October?

Through out Central Alberta we have a mixed bag of results. As far as Single Family Detached Homes are concerned, the listing Inventory in Lacombe, Innisfail and Blackfalds are very similar to October of 2018, Days on Market have increased for all three communities. I am going to contribute that to the Election as the market seemed to slow down as we drew closer to Election Day.

 In Red Deer there has been an increase in New Listings of 10.22% however there is still a decrease in Active Listings of 10.51%. Sylvan Lake has had an increase of new listings of 17.14 percent and as well an 5.97% increase of active listings. The number of homes Sold is on close to Par with last last year. Days on market has decreased

QUARTER UPDATE October 2019

Here is hoping for a wonderful Fall before the snow flies.  As always here is your 3rd quarter report for 2019, I hope you find this information useful.

Right now, the Red Deer market has witnessed a slight increase in sales over last year, 3rd  ¼ shows total Single family home sales up from 239 last year to 242 sales this year a slight increase but very positive news considering the listing inventory has decreased from last years 3rd  ¼  by 12.4 %  however this is positive news as it shows the Absorption Rate has increased by 1.22%

In Sylvan lake 2018 3rd ¼ sales were at 54 and this year 63 or a 23.53% increase.  The listing inventory has increased about 16.83% from last year as well.  Again, this is positive as
